Description

COMPOSITION

Each bolus contains Levamisole Hydrochloride BP equivalent to Levamisole 600 mg.

INDICATION

Leride Vet is indicated for the treatment of many nematodes in cattle, sheep, goats and poultry. In sheep and cattle, Levamisole has relatively good activity against cecum nematodes, small & large intestinal nematodes, and Adult forms of species that are usually susceptible to Levamisole.

Leride Vet (Levamisole) is effective against the following parasites:

Stomach: Haemonchus, Ostertagia spp ect.

Small Intestine : Cooperia, Trichostrongylus, Bunostomum etc.

Large Intestine:  Oesophagostomum, Trichuris etc.

Lung : Dictyocaulus viviparous.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Cattle, goat and sheep: 7.5 mg/kg body weight or, ½- 1 Bolus Per 20-80 kg body weight or, 2-4 bolus per 80-300 kg body weight.

Dog and cat: 10mg/kg body weight or, ¼ bolus per 10-20 kg body weight.

Poultry: 25mg/kg body weight or, ½- 1 Bolus Per 2-10 kg body weight.

Or, As Directed by the Registered Veterinarian.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Levamisole should be used in lactating animals with cautions.

PRECAUTIONS

Sufficient drinking water should be provided to the animal after administration of Leride Vet.

SIDE EFFECTS

High dose of Leride Vet may cause hyper-salivation, diarrhoea, muscle cramping, CNS depression, dyspnea, defecation, urination, collapse, head shaking, restlessness, leaking of lip & nose.

DRUG INTERACTION

Administration with organophosphorus compounds or Diethylcarbamazine citrate should be avoided.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD 

Meat-7 days, Milk-2 days.

STORAGE

Store in a cool (below 30° C) and dry place, protected from light. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
