Each 100 g powder contains Amoxicillin Trihydrate BP equivalent to 30 g Amoxicillin.
V-Moxcef Vet Powder is a Broad-Spectrum Bactericidal Antibiotic is active against penicillin-sensitive gram positive and gram negative bacteria. V-Moxcef Vet is indicated in wide range of infections of respiratory tract, GI tract, Urinary tract etc.
IN Poultry: Enteritis due to E. coli & Clostridial infections & infection caused by Staphylococci, Streptococci, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, Fusiformis spp. , Klebsiella, Shigella, Salmonella, Proteus, Brucella & Pasteurella & secondary infections following viral & mycoplasmal infections.
In Other Animal: Gastroenteritis, Bronchopneumonia, Umbilical infection, Polyarthritis, Pasteurellosis, Salmonellosis, Stomatitis, Pharyngitis, Urinary tract infections and to check secondary bacterial infection in case of viral diseases.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
Poultry: 15-30 mg/kg body weight for 5 days Or, 1 g/3-5 liters of drinking water for 5 days.
Calf & Goat: 25-45 mg/ kg body weight for 5 days.
Dog & Cat: 30-60 mg/ kg body weight for 5-7 days.
Dosage interval: 12 hours.
Or, As Directed by the Registered Veterinarian.
V-Moxcef Powder is contraindicated in penicillin or cephalosporin hyper sensitive animals. It should not be administered to small herbivores such as rabbits, guinea pigs etc.
Should not be used more than the mentioned amount in the prescription.
Side effects are infrequent rare & mild. With other penicillin, it may include diarrhoea, indigestion or skin rashes. Pseudo-membranous colitis has been reported rarely.
Administration of Amoxicillin with bacteriostatic drug (Chloramphenicol, Erythromycin, Tetracycline & Sulfonamide etc.) may show antagonism effects.
With food & others: No interaction was reported.
Calves– 4 days, Broiler– 3 days, Layer– 10 days.
Store in a cool (below 30° C) and dry place, protected from light. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
